Maintain Optimal Health With Adequate Water Intake😃

Hey Everyone! Welcome to ChiroDynamic’s second blog post. One of the five pillars of health, which ChiroDynamic advocate is adequate hydration. It is important for our bodies to have enough water intake for us to function optimally. 😄


Dehydration can lead to serious complications such as muscle cramps, dry skin, bad breath, fatigue, headache, dizziness, confusion, fever, exhaustion, heat strokes, urinary tract infections, kidney stone, kidney failure, electrolyte imbalances, seizures, and lower blood pressure.


The leading cause of dehydration are vomiting or diarrhea, strenuous exercise, illnesses, burns, and excessive sweating.


People who are at higher risk of dehydration are athletes, diabetics, people with kidney diseases, alcoholic, elders, and infants.


In order to maintain hydration, we need to replenish the fluid level of our bodies. The many ways of proper hydration are consuming water, soup broth, sports drinks, juice, and food with high water content. To stay Adequately Hydrated, you need to consume 50% of our Body Weight in Ounces Per Day. Example: If you weigh 160lb, you need to consume 80oz of water each day.


The benefits of adequate hydration are maximized physical performance, increased energy and brain functions, prevent headaches and kidney diseases, relieve constipation, help weight loss, improve mood, protect joints and cartilages, normalized blood pressure, relieve hunger sensation, balance electrolytes, helps digestions, maintain healthy skin, and increase muscle performance.
